Fees & Guidelines

We like to maintain a productive environment which everyone can thrive in.

Facility Use & Stewardship

We take pride in our physical space and high-quality infrastructure. To ensure a smooth experience for all program participants, members observe the following guidelines:

  • Equipment Care & Supervision: Treat all physical infrastructure, including audio-visual hardware, mixers, and HVAC systems, with careful stewardship. Specialized tools like broadcasting gear or DIY maintenance hardware may require orientation or supervision by a designated Steward.

  • Space & Storage Boundaries: Please utilize only the specific areas you have contracted to use. Storing personal items in public or other participants’ areas is not permitted.

  • Common Areas: Keep shared spaces clean, properly maintained, and completely clear so they are ready for the next scheduled program.

  • Intellectual Property: We deeply respect creative labor. Collaborative works produced at The Connexion require mutual consent and proper attribution among creators.

Calendar & Scheduling

Keeping every room organized, available, and easy to reserve.

  • Master Calendar: To avoid scheduling conflicts, all facility use must be pre-scheduled via our master calendar.

  • Conflict Resolution: If a scheduling conflict arises, participants are expected to work together to find a resolution, strictly maintaining our community code of conduct.

Safety & Security

Protecting the building, equipment, and everyone who uses the space.

  • Locking Up: Because our facility allows public access, any area not actively in use must remain locked. Note: Individual room locks are managed by the ConneXion to ensure an emergency key is always maintained on-site.

  • End-of-Day Responsibility: The last user leaving the facility at the end of the day is responsible for turning out all interior lighting and securely locking the exterior doors.

Fees & Financial Terms

As a 501(c)3 organization, our building use fees directly reflect overall operating costs. Covering vital expenses such as utilities, snow plowing, internet, and cleaning.

  • Fee Schedules: Program participants receive a dedicated fee schedule tailored to their building use.
  • Annual Evaluation: Every December, our Board of Trustees evaluates total income against expenses to determine if building use fees need adjustment for the upcoming year.
  • Payment & Due Dates: Monthly use fees are due on the 1st of each month. A late fee of 5% is applied if payments are not received by the 10th.
  • Account Standing: Remaining current with your participation fees is necessary to maintain your status in the program; non-current accounts face immediate termination by the board.
  • Security Deposit: A security deposit equal to one month’s participation fee is maintained by the organization and is fully refundable upon leaving the program in good standing.
